Privacy Policy
Short version: FlashLite does not collect, sell, or share any personally identifiable information. The app requests only the permissions it needs to operate a flashlight.
1. Who We Are

2. Information We Do Not Collect
FlashLite does not collect, store, or transmit:
- Your name, email address, or any account information
- Your device's location
- Your contacts, messages, or photos
- Any biometric data
3. Permissions Requested
The app requests the following device permissions. All are used solely for core flashlight functionality:
- CAMERA — required by Android to control the camera flash (torch). No photos or video are captured.
- VIBRATE — used for haptic feedback on button presses. Optional.
4. Advertising (Google AdMob)
The free version of FlashLite displays banner and interstitial advertisements served by Google AdMob. AdMob may collect and use data as described in Google's Privacy Policy, including advertising identifiers to show relevant ads.
You can opt out of personalised ads in your device settings under Google → Ads → Opt out of Ads Personalisation.
Purchasing the "Remove Ads" in-app product disables all advertising entirely.
5. Analytics (Firebase)
FlashLite uses Firebase Analytics (provided by Google) to collect anonymous, aggregated usage data such as which features are used most. This data cannot be used to identify you personally. For more information see Firebase's Privacy Policy.
You can opt out of Firebase Analytics by enabling Limit Ad Tracking on your device.
6. In-App Purchases
Purchases are processed entirely by Google Play Billing. MJAndroid Dev does not receive or store your payment card details. Google's Payments Privacy Notice governs all transactions.
7. Local Data Storage
User preferences (selected flash mode, theme, shake setting, strobe speed, ad-free status) are stored locally on your device using Android DataStore. This data never leaves your device and is not accessible to MJAndroid Dev.
8. Children's Privacy
FlashLite is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the app, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.
9. Data Security
Because FlashLite does not collect or transmit personal data to our own servers, there is no server-side risk to your information. Advertising and analytics data handled by third parties (Google) is protected under their respective security programmes.
10. Third-Party Links
The app and this website may contain links to third-party services (e.g. Google Play). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those services and recommend reviewing their privacy policies before use.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect any changes. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
